How to Fix Wireless Connection Problems in D-Link Router?

Are you troubled by wireless connection problems in D-Link Router? If yes, you have come to the right place as you will learn how to resolve this problem here. You can experience 3 kinds of issues. These 3 problems include low wireless signal, wireless connection dropping, and slow wireless speed.

If you wish to know the underlying cause of the problem, then you must check if the issue exists on various devices. In case the signal is dropping or the internet is slow on one of your computers or devices, then that means your router is not the culprit.

If you find that the signal is dropping on all the connected devices, then that means the router is the cause of your problem.

Below are the solutions that you can apply to resolve this problem.

1) Change Your Wireless Channel

Open your internet browser and then type http:/dlinkrouter.local or 192.168.0.1 in the location bar of your browser. After that, log in by carrying out the steps mentioned below.

Step 1: Select Settings and then select Wireless.

Step 2: Choose Advanced Settings for both 2.4G and 5G bands.

Step 3: Select the Wi-Fi channel box and then choose your desired channel. After that, select Save.

2) Change the Location of Your Router

Please make sure that your router is in an open and well-ventilated area. Other devices use the 5 GHz wireless band, which interferes with your Wi-Fi network. This includes wireless cameras, microwaves, and baby monitors.

If required, then keep your router and other devices in a place close to each other. Wireless signals degrade when they go through mirrors, lead, steel, glass, and large appliances.
