    Web Design

    Category: Web Design

How does it make you feel when you read the word ACTION in all caps? Ready to do something? It is amazing that something as simple as one word can evoke stored energy ready to be consumed with turning thoughts into motion. Maybe the caps help, or maybe just word itself is enough to get you motivated. Most people will admit that a picture has the power to impose a much stronger emotion than a single word, but what if we infused the two? Then, we have a clear direction mixed with emotion. We have guidance and a CALLing. This is what we are talking about in the website world when we talk about a “call to action”. What do you want your website visitors to do? What is the single most important action that they can take? How can we make a word, phrase, picture, color and overall structure of an entire website lead someone to do the very thing that you want them to? Web design should be infused with this central core objective. As the business owner or manager, you understand the big picture and what you hope to achieve through every marketing stream. Your website is just a billboard sitting up on the web with traffic driving by looking at you. What do you want them to remember as they wiz by for only a few seconds? Do you want them to remember to call your company? How to get to your store? We have a bit more versatility on the web than we do a billboard though, so maybe you are an Ecommerce store and you want to lead them to purchase a product? Whatever it is, you have the opportunity to have your web design emphasize, convince and direct website visitors to take such action. The paragraphs above contain many unanswered questions. Maybe some will take longer to ponder than others. However, I want to urge you to not settle with answering them just one time. Be willing to adapt, change and grow your website as you modify and learn from the feedback of your customers. Keep things moving in a direction that gives you more and more of your desired result. Do this and your competition will never catch up to you. Do this and you will never stop growing. Do this and you will win online. Like what you read? Please visit us at ChattanoogaWebDesign.com to learn more about how your website can change your business forever! Go ahead, I know you want to take action!
