Technology is taking leaps forward every year. Technology is no more limited to certain gadgets; instead, our own watch is getting technological. Android wear is the version of Google’s Android operating system that will find their place in the smart watches and other likewise wearable. It gets paired with those mobile phones which is running Android version 4.3 and above. Other notable feature of Android wear is that it gets easily integrated with Google now functionality and provides mobile notification into the smart watch. Interesting isn’t it? Android wear is a new platform whose history is not so old. It was announced on March 18, 2014. That day its developer preview came in the market. As every announcement needs supporters, the partners of the platform are Motorola, Samsung, HTC, Asus and the LG. Cool features of Android Wear: The platform has the collection of some of the best features which makes it a preferable one. It is benefiting both developer and user along its comfortable and new characteristics. Some of the cool characters are: •Developers do not need to be pushy about this platform as it saves them from the hassles of doing more. Applications can be integrated with ease along the platform and the notifications related to the apps get pushed to watch (which is created using the platform) instantly. Also if the developer has included some of the expanded notifications with action buttons, then the same gets displayed as separate swipable actions on Wear. •Android Wear is compatible both with square and round watches and can be made a part of any design. •Google Now does not have to be manually launched on the phone or platform, thanks to the Android Wear. •The voice action and replies on the Android wear is swift and easy. Launching a Google search is no more a hassle full task. However as everything has a limited side to it, so does Android Wear. Some of the limitations of it are: •Once a notification is dismissed, there is no way to bring that back. •Many applications are still to be wear integrated. •There is no method of launching the selected music or the podcast without the help of Google now. •Voice input and the related action is still limited to the use of Google now. •The procedure of Voice transcription is a bit iffy along with it. •Setting the wear as per requirement is a tough task to do. Thus, it becomes clear that Android Wear is the next big thing in the technological world which would become handier with further improvements. Let’s wait and watch for a world of wear technology.
