For BJP, winning Milkipur seat of Ayodhya is a question of prestige. Awadhesh Prasad, who was SP MLA from this seat, had defeated the sitting MP Lallu Singh. By winning this seat in the by-election, BJP wants to heal the wound suffered in the Lok Sabha elections.
