Orrisa / Odisha Discom is the State Electricity Board, is an organization responsible for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electric power. It is the first State that has to take the initiative to make the power supply more efficient and meet investment needs. GRIDCO (Grid Corporation of Orissa Limited) was responsible for transmission and distribution Systems, whereas Orissa Hydro Power Corporation is responsible for hydropower generation stations from 1st April’1996.
