We should be aware of two major types of air coolers: duct air coolers and desert air coolers. Is a ducting air cooler better than a desert cooler in terms of cooling capacity? What are Duct Air Coolers? Air is provided or evacuated through ducts, which are channels or tubes. The evaporative cooling method of the duct air cooler offers a continual flow of cold air while also eliminating stale air from the room or region. What are Desert Air Coolers? The desert cooler has a pad on three sides of the desert air cooler that is constantly soaked with water due to the air cooler's pump. As it passes through these cooling pads, the evaporated air mixes with the cold water and cools down. Air Cooler (Duct) vs. Air Cooler (Desert) In the desert cooler unit, swirling motion is created by an axial flow fan with revolving propeller blades. A duct air cooler's main benefit is that it allows you to increase the duct length and transport the air further before releasing it at the event. It is entirely dependent on the space or location in which you intend to use it. Although the duct is usually of higher quality, installation is a significant task. Desert coolers, on the other hand, are all the rage these days, and if you get a good one, they may provide tremendous cooling. In terms of cooling, a duct cooler outperforms a desert cooler. A duct cooler, also known as a Blower fan, is a type of impeller fan that has four heat exchanger pads compared to three for a desert cooler. A duct cooler is a type of impeller that uses spinning impellers to increase the volume and speed of an air stream. The biggest advantage of a ducting air cooler is that you can direct air in whatever direction you want by adjusting the angle of the blades, allowing you to lengthen the duct to wherever you want it. Duct enlargement, for example, can allow cooler air to enter a room if the external unit is situated on the roof or in a corridor. However, we recommend contacting Degree Day if you require any assistance with the installation or repair of these coolers. Our skilled electricians will handle all of your installation and repair needs. #commercial air cooler#industrial air cooler#duct air cooler
