Is Still Domain Name consider a Google Ranking Factor?

Well I created hundreds of domain pointed to a target keywords 10 years ago and domain name is really help google ranking factors but nowadays as Google evolved then ranking factors changed. It was discussed by experts in 2021 since Matt Cutts are in Google that he confirmed that exact match domain are not a ranking factor. But I can say that it is still useful to use (EMD) for local businesses and still many of us using these techniques which is comes from an old school. In latest algorithm everything changed but old practice still take effect and useful to use as long as it can avoid penalties in the future.
