By unanimously passing a resolution, the Kerala Assembly has requested the Central Government to officially change the name of the state from 'Kerala' to Keralam. This is the second time the state assembly has passed this resolution as the Union Home Ministry had suggested some technical changes after reviewing the earlier proposal.
