Klugman Capital Markets a Pan Asian investment management firm has hired John Wong as a Managing Director and Global Economic Advisor. Mr. Wong will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Michael Chang, chairman, president and chief executive officer for Klugman CM. “John is a highly regarded global economic expert who will bring tremendous insights and make significant contributions to Klugman CM’s investment process. He will join what we believe is the most talented and strongest team of portfolio managers in the investment management industry, who have repeatedly demonstrated their skills by consistently delivering value to our clients." Mr. Wong was a Managing Director and Chief Economist at a top investment bank, based in London. During his 20 years with the bank, he also held positions including Chief Economist, Chief Fixed Income Economist and Co-Head of European Economics. Over the past year, Klugman Capital Markets has hired 10 senior investment professionals and industry experts in areas ranging from commodities trading, alternatives, equities and multi-asset strategies, and global macroeconomic specialties. Mr. Wong will oversee the Professional Discount Trading Desk. This desk is self-directed trading and it's usually for the more experienced traders who want to place orders with a live person but does not feel the need for interaction or help from a broker.
