The 70/30 examination pattern has changed how CA (Chartered Accountancy) students should approach their papers. Under the current ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) Intermediate pattern, 30% of the assessment consists of case-based scenario MCQs (multiple-choice questions), while 70% consists of descriptive questions. Importantly, ICAI informs that there is no negative marking for MCQs in the Intermediate Examination.
