New Vine Update brings Snap To Beat Feature And New Audio Remix Tool & More

Category: Technology

For starters, a brand new Snap to Beat feature lets you create Vines with With seamless audio looping. And in an effort to make music a core part of Vine, users can now take advantage of enhancements like a new Featured Tracks section and another new feature that allows them to find out what they’re listening to as they watch Vines. Vine has started rolling out an update for its Android and iOS app versions with new audio and discovery features. The biggest among them is the audio remix feature, which lets users utilise other Vine audio tracks in their own. Music has been an important part of Vine’s culture since the beginning — from rising musicians who entertain us to creators all over the world who remix and hypnotize us with their collaborations — and now we’re connecting you to the music you love,” Vine said. Snap to Beat As its name suggests, the new Snap to Beat feature makes it easier than ever to create Vines with music that loops seamlessly so that people who listen to it can’t tell the beginning from the end. Start by tapping the music note on the Details screen. Snap to Beat will automatically identify how much of the song to use to make a seamless loop and will even trim your video to fit the clip. “With seamless audio looping in our mobile apps, you can make Vines that sound awesome and feel like magic — something that’s only possible with Vine,” developers explain. New Audio Remix Tool The new Featured Tracks section in Vine 4.3 for iOS brings a curated selection of songs you can add to your Vines. The Featured Tracks section also appears when you create a Vine and tap the music note to add a song. Another interesting enhancements helps identify songs playing as part of Vines. Just tap the music note on a Vine to reveal information about the track. To use an audio snippet from a Vine video, users need to simply tap on the three-dot more button at the bottom of the video and then tap on "Make an audio remix". This would navigate users straight to their device camera and will also show the audio loading bar alongside. Users can then record or import a video and create a Vine using the same audio loaded in the background. As a part of the Vine app update, users will also get the new discovery feature to search for a Vine video using the same audio clip you downloaded using the audio remix tool mentioned above. The company blog post also elaborated that, "When someone uses our new audio tool to make a Vine, we display info for the source Vine, just like we do when people use our app to add music tracks to their Vines. This means that you can see the original Vine from which a remix or remake was created." To view the source Vine, users can tap the music note under the video, followed by a tap on arrow pointing towards right. In addition, Vine team has added song metadata as an input to Search. This would give users the ability to view Vines using the same audio track that they have searched for under the 'Explore' section. While the new Discovery features are available for both Android and iOS apps, the audio remix tool is only present for the iOS version. Vine 4.0 highlights Here’s everything that’s new in Vine 4.0: Discover music on Vine Explore the new Featured Tracks section. Choose a song to add to your Vine, or check out what’s been recently added. Find out what you’re listening to. When you see the music note on a Vine, tap it to see the track info.
