Rudraksha is a seed that is used for prayers. It is considered a divine connection from god and nature to mankind. When they are ripe, rudraksha seeds are covered by a blue outer fruit and are sometimes called blueberry beads. Elaeocarpus ganitrus is the scientific name of the Rudraksha Tree.
