This USB dongle has built in Wi-Fi hotspot and is priced at Rs. 1,999 6. Tata Photon Max Wi-Fi can serve upto 5 Wi-Fi devices at a time and it is capable of reaching download speeds upto 6.2 Mbps. It can be powered by any USB port , that means you can plug it into your laptop or any other USB power adapter at home , or in car and get a internet Wi-Fi connection where ever you go. Tata Docomo claims that Tata Photon Max Wi-Fi dongle has a range of 100 metres. 7. Like previously released Tata Photon dongles , the Tata Photon Max Wi-Fi operates at the frequency of 800 MHz , which gives better indoor connectivity than other devices operating on GSM frequencies in India. Tata Photon Max Wifi comes with free roaming across the country , but Photo Max speed of upto 6.2 Mbps is available in only 30 cities. Other 300 Photon Plus Cities , users will experience speed upto 3.1 Mbps with the maximum speed coming down to 153.6 Kbps in other regions. 8. Tata Photon Max Wifi unlimited data plans with fair usage limits start at Rs. 650 per month for postpaid users and Rs. 730 per month for prepaid users , with speeds reduced at 153.6Kbps once the limits are reached. Various other plans are being offered, including a pay as you go postpaid plan for Rs. 300 per month, with 0.5GB of free usage and Rs. 1,500 postpaid plan that comes with 15GB of usage. Customers can also apply for Advance Rental Plan by paying Rs 4,999 upfront, that includes a Tata Photon Max Wifi dongle as well and unlimited data (with 15GB fair usage limit each month) for three months. Post three months, customers can migrate to the plan of their choice.
