An Anti Drone System (also called a Counter UAV system) is a security technology designed to detect, track, and neutralise unauthorized or hostile drones to protect airspace and critical assets. It works through a layered approach that includes detection using radar, RF scanners, and optical sensors; tracking the drone’s movement in real time; and neutralisation using methods such as RF jamming, GPS spoofing, kinetic interception, or directed energy weapons like lasers and microwaves. These systems are widely used in military bases, airports, smart cities, industrial facilities, and VIP protection to prevent surveillance, attacks, or disruption caused by drones. With advancements in AI, multi-sensor fusion, and autonomous interception technologies, anti drone systems are becoming more intelligent, faster, and more effective in securing both defence and civilian environments.
