Shimla may be well-known but it has its flaws. Our recent experience shows that the truth about locating a bed can occasionally change dramatically. 

Locating accommodations in Shimla can prove difficult, as sifting through subpar options and phony reviews presents a new level of complexity that we had not encountered before. 

Availability is restricted.

Shimla's popularity results in a scarcity of top accommodation options. This also indicates that affordable choices may be susceptible to false advertising and fake reviews. 

Pricing that is not based on reality

The issue of supply and demand has been around since ancient times. Greater need results in increased costs. When comparing hotel rates in different parts of India, be cautious as it may lead to a misleading sense of safety. 

Additional expenses that are not immediately apparent.

Others have reported extra charges on their bill that were not disclosed at the time of booking, such as cleaning fees, high card payment fees, unfavourable exchange rates, and additional taxes causing concerns.

This was a concern for us. The inaccurate depiction was so severe it almost reached criminal levels; we had pictures of a hotel that no longer existed along with fake images of rooms and bathrooms.

Dealing with fake reviews has proven to be a significant challenge for us. We currently approach perfect scores with a cautious skepticism.
