Volleyball trading pins have been part of tournament culture for long enough that most players and coaches accept them as a given without stopping to think about what makes the difference between a pin that generates real excitement and one that gets handed over without much thought behind it. The teams that consistently show up with pins other squads genuinely want to trade for are the ones that put real thought into the design process rather than treating it as something to check off a list before the season starts.
